I had been working out for about 6 months trying to lose weight, which I was very slowly.  I thought it might be a good idea to engage in some personal training session to put together a program for me to further assist with my weight loss.  I started looking around, when I was referred to Matt by a friend. 

Thanks to Matt my whole life has changed.  Matt takes a holistic approach to fitness and well-being, talking me through my diet and my goals, and taking a personal approach to helping me achieve them.  My main goal for 2011 was to lose weight, I have achieved this losing 20KG since first starting my exercise program.  Matt’s approach to training is sometimes a little unorthodox, but always fun.  Every session is different and he knows how far to push me to the point where I think I can do no more, and then he gets me to push out one more.  

So my initial thought of a few personal training sessions has turned into a part of my weekly routine, I have gained not only a great personal trainer, but a friend and a supporter to cheer me on through my fitness goals for 2012.

My boyfriend started seeing Matt as he was trying to lose some weight. I was always tired, and struggling with the stress of daily life as well as also carrying a few extra kilograms.

I was a little apprehensive about seeing a personal trainer but had in the past done group training sessions which I enjoyed. My first session with Matt he talked me through my goals, and then a diet and exercise plan, providing a holistic approach to my health. Over the last 6 months Matt has shown me how much fun exercise can be. I had never done any weights before I saw Matt, and was a little scared of becoming "the butch chick" but Matt talked through the different activities and which muscle groups I was working.

During 2011 I encountered some medical problems with my legs meaning I couldn't run (which I love), jump or put any weight or impact on my shins. Matt helped me develop a program to ensure I could still meet my goals through unusual exercise routines. Matt ensured that training was still fun and that I was still getting a full body work out. Without the sessions with Matt I wouldn't have been able to maintain my level of fitness.

Since I started seeing Matt I have lost 5kg in actual weight, have dropped a dress size and toned up. I now have muscles that you can actually see! I sleep better at night and am not nearly as stressed or tired as I was when I first started. Matt is not just a personal trainer, he is also my biggest supporter. Thanks Matt for a great 2011!

In the Summer of 2012, I decided to do an 8-Week Challenge to drop some weight with the goal of losing about 8 kilos. Through the 8 weeks, Matt Redman Fitness helped me with my diet, physical activity and motivation, allowing me to exceed my goals. I ended up losing 12kgs, 11cm off my waist, and 18cm off my hips, all in just 8 weeks!

I highly recommend Matt Redman Fitness to anyone who has issues with self-belief or who doubt their ability to succeed. Matt is a very helpful PT who not only puts time into you during training session, but also outside of work. He was available for advice 24/7. I will be continuing group fitness in the new year as I believe I get more than my money's worth, and it's a fun way to lose weight.

I've known Matt for a number of years as a fellow teacher colleague. As Matt has developed his personal training business, I have witnessed a certain drive and determination. This same drive and determination is what I needed to lose weight and Matt was the man I needed in my corner.

The results I have achieved in a relatively short period of time are largely due to Matt's perfect combination of diverse training methods, individualised exercise programs and challenging yet achievable goal setting. I met Matt through my Mrs and after a few sessions I felt like we had been mates for years. He is a great motivator and his work ethic is contagious. He is incredibly supportive, and enthusiastic with all his methods of training. I was able to lose a lot of chub from eating badly through the years. I was the heaviest I had been, felt lethargic all the time, and was very unmotivated. After seeing Matt for a few sessions my self-belief was better, I felt motivated, I was eating better, and had more energy. After 10 weeks with Matt I was a different guy! It made me feel good to see myself in the mirror, and made the Mrs happy too. Honestly, do yourself a favour and see Matt. One session is all you need and he can change your mindset and get you motivated. I can't recommend Matt highly enough!

Awesome trainer... great man... will always support you, push you and motivate you to strive to do your best at training and with your diet. Bootcamps are always fun, especially with a great bunch of regulars, get a laugh with a workout. Personal training sessions are a blast, get to play with weights and do something a little different. And I love boxing classes in the warmer weather, probably one of my favourites, never miss a session because I like a good hit and because it is good stress relief. Since teaming up with Matt to tackle my weight issues, I've gone from strength to strength. I wouldn't have come this far without his help. Definitely give this guy a go... I promise you won't regret it.

Awesome trainer!! Though I'm a very fit and active person, Matt has been able to put a catered workout that benefits me and also pushes me!! I have had some niggling injuries through my knees and Matt's help has gotten me back to training twice as hard though also strengthening my knee to ensure that I'm not only getting a good workout but also looking after myself too!! He gives me a great boost of confidence when I'm at one of my PT sessions and is always ready to answer any of my questions about fitness!!

So glad I took the leap of faith to not only workout but to ensure that I have an active body in years to come that's looked after properly!! GIVE IT A GO!
